Decimation's loot lives in its loot blocks: crates, ammo boxes, car wrecks and more. Each one rolls items from its own list.
How a crate rolls
- Every loot block has a list of items, each with its own rarity.
- Opening one rolls a number of items, then picks them from the list.
- Each spot remembers when it was looted and refills after a cooldown.
Tip
Before 0.57.0 a crate gave 1 to n minus 1 items, so a list of 2 always gave 1. It now gives 1 to n.
Where the loot is
Our generated cities, bases and camps use Decimation's own loot blocks, so they fill the usual way. Buildings in wasteland districts and military bases hold military loot, often behind doors that need a military keycard.
No container can be looted inside a safezone or within 10 blocks of one (supply drops excepted).
