Decimation treated anything that was not a dedicated server as a client without a say, so in singleplayer much of its game never ran. These are the parts DeciRemnant makes work.
What works now
| Loot | Crates, car wrecks and other loot blocks open and give items. |
|---|---|
| Zones | Safe, military and police zones protect, spawn and show their names (0.46.0). |
| Supply drops | A crate falls every 15 minutes, announced in chat (0.9.0). |
| Humanity | Kills change your humanity as on the servers (0.9.0). |
| Armour | Armour stops soldiers' and bandits' bullets too (0.9.0). |
| Vehicles | A punch or an arrow no longer picks up a car (0.8.1, 0.48.1). |
| Menu | Play works without the voice chat jar; your own kills and deaths count (0.42.2, 0.57.2). |
| No dead servers | The game never tries to reach BoehMod's closed network (0.62.8). |
Why it broke
In singleplayer the game and its server run in one program, and that program reports itself as a client. Decimation put many of its rules behind "is this a dedicated server?", so they never ran when you played alone. DeciRemnant runs those rules in singleplayer too and steps aside on a dedicated server, where the originals still run.
