Decimation Minecraft mod: Cities

Docs / World

Cities

Whole cities generated as you explore: towers, offices, shops and homes on real streets, filled with Decimation's own props.

How a city is laid out

  • The world is cut into cells of 5 by 5 sectors; each cell holds one compact city of 1 to 16 sectors.
  • A city never touches the next: the last row and column of each cell stay free.
  • A city of 2 or more sectors gets a military sector beside it and fenced wasteland districts on that side.

Buildings and streets

Buildings come from DeceasedCraft's Lost Cities set, converted to Decimation's blocks. Streets carry street lights, benches, bins, wrecked cars, jams toward the exits and crashes at crossings; rooms are furnished and decayed; some lots are parks or bare ground.

Tip

Doors in our buildings are never plain Minecraft doors: Decimation's own doors are used.

Settings

config/deciworldgen_cities.cfg sets how often a cell holds a city and how often each size is picked.
