Highways join neighbouring cities, an underground railway runs beneath them, and rivers flow through the cities under street bridges.
Highways
Highways leave each city along a street row and run to the next city, with bridges and side ramps where the land drops away and hedges at crossings.
Underground railway
Tracks follow the highway lines underground at height 46. Every city has a station; its stairs come up in the sidewalk.
Rivers and bridges
Rivers run through cities in canals. A street that meets a river becomes a bridge: the same road, paint, sidewalks and lamps, carried over the water on piers. In wasteland districts the bridges are broken.
